Channel 4 boss says has open mind on sale -paper

The chairman of Channel 4 has said he is willing to contemplate a sale of the broadcaster, The Times newspaper reported on Monday.
The report quoted Luke Johnson as saying that he was "open-minded about privatising Channel 4" and that, while there was no need for a sell-off, "as a capitalist, it would be hypocritical" to oppose what would generate more than 1 billion pounds for the public purse.
The Times said Johnson was responding to a demand made on Friday by Charles Allen, the outgoing ITV chief executive, who complained that Channel 4's commercial success was incompatible with its state ownership.
