easyJet expects high load factor for GB Airways
Budget airline easyJet has said that it expects the load factors for February and March to be above 85 per cent for its recently acquired GB Airways unit.
In a statement easyJet said, "Encouragingly, over 30 percent of the summer schedule seats have already been sold, a similar figure to last year despite the change in distribution channel that occurred on January 1."
The airline also said that trading in its core business remained consistent with that described in its 7 February Interim Management Statement.
An easyJet statement read, "Specifically, February load factors are expected to be broadly in line with prior year with total revenue per seat up between 3 percent to 5 percent and forward bookings over the Easter period remain encouraging."
