British Airways (BA) has signed a 68 million euro deal to buy French business airline l'Avion. The airlines made the announcement in a joint statement on Wednesday.
L'Avion will become part of BA's recently started OpenSkies unit, which flies routes from New York to Paris.
The French airline was founded in January 2007 by Frantz Yvelin and Marc Rochet. The takeover price includes the airline's cash reserves of 33 million euros.
