Who is the more powerful couple among them: David-Victoria Beckham or Beyonce-Jay Z?
Victoria and David Beckham are one of the hottest couples in Britain. They started dating in 1997 but kept it low-key. David proposed to Victoria in 1998 and got married in 1999 at the 560-acre estate of the 1794, gothic Luttrellstown Castle, Ireland outside Dublin, Ireland.
Victoria and David have three sons and a daughter: Brooklyn Joseph Beckham, Romeo James Beckham, Cruz David Beckham and Harper Beckham. Victoria runs a clothing line and has perfume brands in her name. David Beckham currently plays for Los Angeles Galaxy.
Another couple trending the charts is Beyonce and Jay Z. After six years of dating, Beyonce and Jay Z finally tied the knot in Jay Z's private apartment in 2008. There were on and off rumours regarding whether the couple would get married or not. In 2012 Beyonce gave birth to daughter Ivy Blue. Beyonce is set to come back to her singing career after her pregnancy break.
What makes them the hottest couple? Is it their commitment to each other? Is it the way they have respected the sanctity of marriage? Or is it because they groom kids? Or is it because each of them has a successful personal life in spite of having a successful career as well?
David, Victoria, Jay Z and Beyonce are always in the news, or in fact whatever they do makes news. According to Gent Magazine, in 2011 the combined earnings of Victoria and David Beckham came to a staggering £135million. For the Beyonce Jay Z pair, the combined income came up to £46 million. Some may even speculate that it is the money that keeps them together.
But others say that the idea of a model family is projected by these couples. When most celebrity marriages end in a few months or they tie the knot very late, the Beyonce Jay Z and Victoria- David marriages set a good example for the next generation.
According to the Independent, the trophy wife is a "dying breed" and men want to marry women of equal status and earnings.
