Curvy Brazilian beauties walked the ramp for the seventh edition of Fashion Weekend Plus Size (FWPS) which took place at the Latin America Memorial in Sao Paulo.
The fashion show, reportedly the biggest in Brazil, is designed to celebrate plus-sized women, and was created by journalist and writer Renata Poskus Vaz. The Plus Size Fall/Winter 2013 collection included evening wear, bridal dresses, swimwear and intimate apparel from brands including Cachopa Brazil, Katie Ferrari, Cosma, Edson Eddel, Korukru, Lunender, Marri Gatto, Malindi, Virtuous Woman, Sizély Plus and Attribute Jeans.
"The Plus Size Fashion Weekend grew. And when I say I am not referring to the increased number of brands participating in each edition, because it is basically the same," Vas said when asked about her goals for Fashion Weekend Plus Size. "The event has changed because today, in addition to parades, it has a business lounge. Here the labels expose their creations so retailers throughout Brazil can analyse and buy them to resell in their stores. Today I see how FWPS has been important in the growth of plus size fashion in Brazil, making a marginalised fashion scene glamorous."
