Colors TV confirmed, via Twitter, that Salman Khan will host the controversial Indian reality show Bigg Boss Season 8.

Colors TV tweeted:

"Despite his busy schedule, Salman has agreed to return as the host of Bigg Boss and has signed on the dotted line recently. He has adjusted his dates and it won't be a problem. His fans wanted him to return to the show and therefore, he decided to take it up because he has never disappointed his legion of fans, nor will he in the future," quoted a website recently.

With Salman Khan hosting the show, fans are excited to know the list of expected contestants. Although there has been no official announcement about the contestants from the production house, there are several names doing the rounds as participants in the upcoming Bigg Boss 8.

Here is a list of celebrities from different backgrounds who are speculated to be part of Bigg Boss 8

Rashmi Desai: (Tapasya from Uttaran) There are reports that the actress was approached by the channel for this show. If this perfect bahu enters the house of Bigg Boss it would be fun to watch her start controversies.

Poonam Pandey: The model was approached last year as well as this year, and there is a lot of buzz and speculation about her appearance in the show. If she does star in the show, you can bet that the Bigg Boss house would be on fire. There were rumours that she had demanded too high an amount to participate.

Sunil Grover: (Comedian) He is the perfect person to take the audience on a laugh ride with his great sense of humour and perfect timing. Everybody loves a comedian in the Bigg Boss house and he will surely add entertainment value.

Lulia Vantur: It was rumoured that Lulia Vantur was Bollywood star Salman Khan's girlfriend. She also appeared in an item song in a Bollywood movie. Reports suggest she is very close to Salman Khan, and has shown interest in participating in Bigg Boss 8.

Alok Nath: (Babuji) Alok Nath is mostly seen on small screens and movies, playing every deprived daughter's Babuji (dad). His character is portrayed as giving gyaan (advice) to everyone; it would be exciting to watch him do the house work and dole out 'ashirwaad (best wishes) and 'gyaan,' to all and sundry.

Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina: (Perfect couple) Bigg Boss is famous for facilitating love-stories, but this time there is a couple entering the house. It's not something new as there have been many couples who have entered the Bigg Boss house in past seasons. Couples are generally popular with the viewers.

Shanti Dynamite: She is another porn star (adult star) of Indian origin. Born Sofia Vasileiadou, she later became known as Shanti Dynamite. She was named as one of the 50 sexiest women in Asia by British newspaper Eastern Eye. It looks like there is tough competition between Sunny Leone and Shanti Dynamite to become housemate of Bigg Boss 8.

Hansika Motwani: Hansika is a trend-setter in the entertainment and controversies department. Considered as one of the sexiest actresses in the film industry, fans will be watching out for her - her charming personality and beauty are bound to make her popular.

Kumar Vishwas: This Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader lost badly against Rahul Gandhi in Amethi but his popularity is increasing in the television world. Recent reports suggest he has been approached by the Bigg Boss production house with an amount of Rs. 5 crore to participate in the show. Having a politician on the show will definitely spice up things inside the house.

Mona Singh: The actress played the lead role of a geek, Jassi, in popular TV show 'Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin'. The series was an Indian-themed version of the American drama 'Ugly Betty'. Mona Singh was in the news last year when an MMS featuring her went viral on the internet. She was last seen on the small screen in 'Kya Huaa Tera Vaada'. Perhaps, she will clear the air about the MMS on the show.

Kamaal R Khan, also known as KRK, has apparently revealed the names of the Big Boss 8 contestants. In a video uploaded on YouTube, he came up with his own list of contestants, who will be in the house this season.

He has mentioned more than 30 probable Bigg Boss 8 contestants.
