Overview
World number one Novak Djokovic takes on Tunisian Malek Jaziri in the second round of the Dubai Open. In one of the few venues where Djokovic will participate not as the defending champion, the Serbian will look to make his presence felt, considering he is the favourite to win the title.
The 28-year-old had a dominant 2015, winning 11 tournaments, out of which three were grand slams, and comes into this game on the back of a 13-match unbeaten streak. If he wins here, it will be the 700th win of his career and Djokovic will be looking to get to that milestone in style.
His opponent Jaziri beat Mikhail Youzhny 6-4, 6-1 to progress into the second round but with a world ranking of 121, he is not expected to challenge the Serbian. The 32-year-old will be hoping that Djokovic has a bad day if he has to beat the world number one.
