Fallout 4 You're SPECIAL book exploit grants infinite stats for PS4, Xbox One and PC players
A duplication exploit has been discovered in Fallout 4 which grants infinite stats to players. The exploit works on the PC version, and the PS4 and Xbox One console versions, meaning all wasteland wanderers are able to acquire infinite stat increases.
The exploit involves the "You're S.P.E.C.I.A.L" baby book found in the bedroom of the protagonist's infant son Shaun. Return after exiting Vault 111 and you'll be able to find it under a chest of drawers near Shaun's crib. When players pick the book up they are granted a +1 increase to any of the seven S.P.E.C.I.A.L stats in the game.
Drop the book after acquiring the stat and then order Dogmeat (the player's AI dog companion) to go grab it. As the dog moves over to the book, and just as he stops and bends down to get it, grab it yourself. This requires some precise timing, so players may need some practice to get it right.
Time things perfectly and you should pick the item up while Dogmeat drops a duplicate. Pick up Dogmeat's book and then drop both. Pick up both and one of them will grant you an additional stat point. Repeat the process to acquire as many stat points as you want.
Do this early on in the game and you'll need up to 50 copies of the book to level up to 10 under every stat – saving players some time spent grinding until they're powerful enough to complete certain parts of the game.
The process works with any item in the game, meaning you can also use it to stock up on Mini-Nukes, fusion cores and anything you might need to help you in your journey through the wasteland. Thanks to IGN, where we first heard about the glitch and who tested it on the console versions of Fallout 4.
