Finding Dory movie
Finding Dory is a sequel to Disney's blockbuster movie Finding Nemo Disney

One week before Finding Dory, the underwater adventure movie, hits the big screen, a new video featuring Dory and her friends – Nemo and Marlin – surfaced online.

The good news is Dory regains her memory, at least in bits and parts and remembers her family; however, the sudden flash of memory sends the blue tang into panic mode. And Marling doesn't seem to be very enthusiastic about the plans that her incoherent thoughts form thereafter.

In the 2-minutes plus video, Dory remembers much more than her family; in fact, she can now put a finger on the location: Jewel of Morro Bay, California. "My family," she screams with the gush of memory, "I remember my family."

What follows next is a panic-stricken Dory feeding Nemo and Marlin with traces of her past; "Gem of Baltic," is what she appears to remember about her parents, which is then decoded by the young clown fish as the California bay.

Marlin, who has never been very fond of adventure, tries to reason with his nervous friend, "No Dory, California is all the way across the ocean," he says. Clearly, Marlin is in no mood to leave his home reef to embark on an underwater adventure all the way to California.

"We are done with our ocean travels," he says trying to convince Dory, who seems resolute about finding her parents, "The only reason to travel in the first place is so you don't have to travel ever again."

Despite being an animated film for the young audience, Pixar's Finding franchise has a certain element of mature emotions in it. While the 2003 hit Finding Nemo concentrated on Marlin's journey to find his lost son Nemo, it introduced the audience to a lovable Dory, who has her own shortcomings.

Now, as Dory prepares for her journey in the sequel, her fate seems to be filled with hurdles, the biggest one being her short-term memory loss. Will Marlin be the true friend and accompany Dory in her quest, or will the trio get separated?

Fans can find answers when the film releases on 17 June in US theatres. The film stars Ellen DeGeneres as the voice of Dory along with other actors like Diane Keaton, Eugene Levy, Idris Elba and Kaitlin Olson voicing various characters.
