Goodbye Cheryl Cole: Newly-Remarried Singer Officially Changes Name to Mrs Fernandez-Versini
Following her surprise nuptials to French boyfriend of three months Cheryl Cole has officially changed her name to Mrs Fernandez-Versini signifying a clean break with former husband, footballer Ashley Cole.
The pop star got married to restaurant entrepreneur Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini on 7 July in an intimate Caribbean ceremony attended by just four witnesses.
She announced her wedding news by posting a picture of her new ring on Instagram saying she wanted to put an end to all the speculation.
"We are very happy and excited to move forward with our lives together," she captioned the snap.
Cheryl's four-year marriage to Cole ended back in 2010.
The Crazy, Stupid, Love songstress, first hinted that she would be dropping her ex-husband's last name when she changed her Twitter handle from @CherylCole to@ Cherylofficial.
The X Factor judge's spokesperson has since confirmed her new moniker to MailOnline.
It is also thought that she will now be introduced with her new name when the ITV talent show returns to the screen later this summer.
Meanwhile, the secret wedding has sparked speculation that the former Girls Aloud star may be expecting her first child. Some fans suggested that a pregnancy announcement could soon follow her rumoured shotgun wedding.
Another wrote: "Cheryl Cole has got married after knowing him 3 months. Only explanation is she's pregnant. Watch and see ;)"
