Indian Army to Challenge Militaries of U.S., Russia and France in War Games
The Indian Army will hold war games with the armies of countries like the U.S., Russia, France, Bangladesh and Singapore.
Militaries of global powers like the U.S., Russia, France and those of neighbouring countries like Bangladesh, Singapore, Myanmar and Nepal will engage in war games with the Indian Army.
These exercises are mostly focused on counter-insurgency and anti-terrorism. They will help in increasing the skills of the Indian Army and other troops in different scenarios, improving their interoperability as per the norms of the United Nation's multinational joint military efforts for world peace.
The "Yudh Abhyas" is an exercise which will be held with the U.S. who earlier participated with the Indian Army in 2009.
The Indian Army regularly hold military exercises with the armies of different countries. Last year, the Army held 16 military exercises with countries like Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Mongolia.
