What is Kate Middleton's favourite colour? Red... green... blue... a neutral shade?
After US magazine Vanity Fair placed the Duchess of Cambridge at the top of its best-dressed list for a third consecutive year, the UK's Daily Mail conducted a survey to identify Kate's favourite colour.
It seems the answer is blue... it accounts for 21 percent of her wardrobe choices, with grey and white a close second and a distant third, with 16 percent and 10 percent respectively. It is equally interesting to note that despite what must be both an extensive and an expensive wardrobe, Kate has a reputation for recycling outfits and styles, and for not placing too much weight on designer brands.
Kate Middleton has certainly been spotted in blue often enough. She wore a sapphire dress by Brazilian design house Issa for her famous engagement interview, a cobalt blue dress from High Street fashion house Zara on the morning after her wedding to Prince William and her first public address as a member of the royal family was in a blue Reiss creation. Then there was the azure Stella McCartney outfit Kate wore to a pre-Olympic exhibition in London.
But Kate Middleton isn't only about blue... or grey or white. For example, on a tour of North America with William, the Duchess wore red and white to mark Canadian National Day and when visiting the Irish Guards on St Patrick's Day, she chose an emerald green coat by designer Emilia Wickstead.
