Kendall Jenner and Drake spark romance rumours with selfie at Kris Jenner's Christmas Eve party

It appears to be an innocent photo but rumours are rife that romance could be in the air for Kendall Jenner and Drake. The pair partied together at the Christmas Eve party of Jenner's mother Kris and one particular photo has sparked speculation that they could be the first new couple of 2016.

In the selfie, which Drake posted on his Instagram page on 28 December 2015, Jenner, 20, can be seen leaning into the Canadian rapper's face while pouting as he pulls a silly face. Fans have questioned why Drake, 28, shared the image several days after the bash, which was held at Kris' Calabasas home, when he posted a photo with the matriarch and Jenner's younger sister Kylie Jenner immediately after with the tongue-in-cheek caption: "My mum, a photo bomb, and me."

Fans have already begun "shipping" Drake and Jenner, with one commenting: "This is who @kendalljennershould date. This would be awesome!! I feel like she's got her eye I the prize and so does he. Power couple!!!" while another wrote: "Kendall and Drake. I approve." One Twitter user stated: "I hope Drake and Kendall Jenner date."

Dating rumours first circulated in January 2015 when the rapper and model were spotted having dinner together at The Nice Guy in Los Angeles. However a source told Hollywood Life at the time: "It's strictly a friendship. There was no PDA at the restaurant or anything because they are not an item. They all hung out with friends for fun and were drinking and having a good time, they are not taking it to another level though in any way."

In November 2015, Drake attended Jenner's 20th birthday party and eyewitnesses claimed the Hotline Bling rapper was the center of attention for the US model and her friends. The source alleged at the time: "Even though it was Kendall's party, Drake owned it!" the source says. "He was the man. All the girls, including Kendall and Gigi [Hadid] were low-key flirting with him, but all in good fun, of course."

The Victoria's Secret model is believed to be single while Drake was most recently linked to tennis champ Serena Williams – however it is not known if they are still dating.
