Muswell Hill assault: 43-year-old woman attacked outside Socialite Bar in Haringey
Metropolitan Police detectives continue to investigate a serious assault on a 43-year-old woman outside a bar in Muswell Hill, North London.
Officers were called to Muswell Hill Broadway, in Haringey, at about 4am on Sunday (16 August) after a brawl erupted outside the Socialite Bar. A woman was seriously assaulted during the melee, sustaining an injury to her face.
London Ambulance Service (LAS) sent an ambulance and emergency car to the scene before rushing the woman to an East London hospital. No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.
A Met Police spokesman said: "Police in Haringey were called by the London Ambulance Service to Muswell Hill Broadway at 4.06am on Sunday following reports of a fight. Officers attended and found a woman in suffering from an injury to her face. She was taken to a East London hospital by LAS where she remains in a stable condition. No arrests have been made. Enquiries are ongoing."
LAS added "We were called at 4.03am to Muswell Hill Broadway to reports of an assault. We sent an ambulance crew and single responder in a car to the scene. We treated a woman reported to be in her 40s. She was taken as a priority to hospital."
