The Queen arrived for the first day of Royal Ascot in a carriage together with Prince Philip, Prince Andrew and Prince Harry. This was Harry's first appearance at the annual horse racing festival and his attendance may be a sign that he is focusing more on his royal duties rather than his military career.
The Queen wore a blue suit by Stewart Parvin and a hat by Rachel Trevor Morgan. More elaborate hats were the order of the day, as ladies dressed to impress.
