Oscar-nominated actress and newly appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) Helena Bonham Carter is equally famed for her love for baffling outfits as she is known for playing quirky characters in the silver screen.
The English actress, who rose to fame through her award-winning performances in movies like "The King's Speech" and "The Wings of the Dove," has defied time and again the rules established in the fashion industry with her odd fashion choice.
Whether it is her mismatched Prada shoes red-carpet appearance at the Golden Globes or her shocking appearance in a pair of sunglasses at the Oscars, Bonham has always represented classic grunge in all its glory.
"Fashion is all about having fun. I think fashion has been hijacked by the fashion industry creating rules on what one should wear and I feel like breaking the mold and seeing that the world won't crumble. Why not wear mismatching shoes," Carter, 45, told the People.
Truly enough, Bonham has set her own standards in the fashion industry - quirky, mismatched and off the wall and surprisingly enough people love her for that.
Despite her controversial fashion choices, she earlier featured in the 2010 Best Dressed List of Vanity Fair and was also selected for renowned designer, Marc Jacobs' autumn advertising campaign.
