Very heavy: Marilyn Manson and Alice Cooper win big at Kerrang! Awards
American rocker Marilyn Manson has been honoured for his lifetime achievement in music at the Kerrang! Awards at the Troxy in east London.
Other winners at the event on 11 June included 1980s veterans Judas Priest, who won the Inspiration Award and Alice Cooper who was given the Kerrang! Legend Award.
Royal Blood, a favourite of Jimmy Page of Led Zepellin fame, picked up the best British newcomer award.
American band All Time Low were named best international band, beating elderly Australian blues rockers AC/DC to the prize.
Kerrang! editor James McMahon said: "What a night! You know why Kerrang! continues to grow well into our 30th year? Because we are the anti-boring. The anti-conservative. The anti-bland.
"At what other music awards ceremony would you find Marilyn Manson being attacked by a zombie or Alice Cooper being taught card tricks by Dynamo? Tonight was the pages of Kerrang! made flesh. A celebration of amazing music, lust for life, noise, community and fun. Does anyone have any aspirin?"
