Overview
The Daredevils will host the Super Kings after a heartbreaking Super Over defeat to Mumbai Indians, at the Wankhede Stadium in Maharashtra. Mahela Jayawardene's side are routinely ranked as underachievers in the IPL and came as close to shedding that tag as they ever have, after holding Royal Challengers Bangalore to a tie in regular play.
The Daredevils relied on an all-round batting display to post a competitive 152/5 from 20 overs, with fit-again Virender Sehwag showing glimpses of his ability in a 23-ball 25. Jayawardene (28) contributed but the star turns were Indians Kedhar Jadhav (29 off 16) and Irfan Pathan (19 off eight), who blasted 30 runs from the final 12 balls. It would prove to be a crucial partnership.
RCB's bowlers were generally poor, with only Jaydev Unadkat (2/24) and R Vinay Kumar (1/21) providing incision and economic bowling. Their batting was equally patchy with Virat Kohli's 65 off 50 balls the key. AB de Villiers' 39 off 32 powered the home side to the tie; the South African's two sixes in the Super Over and Ravi Rampaul's two wickets when RCB came to bowl were enough to seal defeat for the Daredevils. The loss means Delhi remain at the bottom of the table and have yet to win a game this season, after five rounds.
Meanwhile, CSK find themselves in a touch of trouble ahead of their visit to the country's capital, with a shock home defeat to Pune Warriors in the last game. MS Dhoni's side are the most successful franchise in the short history of the IPL but that was not enough to prevent a 24-run loss.
Aaron Finch was the star man for the visitors, with the Australian scoring 67 off 45 to set up a score of 159/5. He had support from compatriot Steven Smith, who hammered 39 off 16. For Chennai, Chris Morris and Dwayne Bravo picked up two wickets apiece but the bowlers were uniformly expensive.
Nevertheless, the target ought not to have been impossible for CSK, who boast a very strong batting line-up and one that goes very deep, with big-hitting South African Albie Morkel at No 8. However, the home side lost wickets at regular intervals to mount any sort of sustained challenge. Muraliy Vijay (24 off 22), Subramaniam Badrinath (34 off 26) and Ravindra Jadeja (27 off 22) did their best but excellent spells from Ashok Dinda (2/34) and Mitchell Marsh (2/35) and a particularly miserly 2/12 from Bhuvneshwar Kumar restricted the flow of runs.
CSK are now seventh in the table but, with four points in the bag, they remain well within the aim of a top four finish and progress to the knock-out rounds. Plus, if past performances are anything to go by, Chennai tend to start the season slowly and step up through the gears later in the month.

Team News
The Daredevils will look to a powerful batting line-up, which includes Warner, Sehwag and Jayawardene, to do the damage again. The franchise have certainly lost an edge with the absence of England's Kevin Pieterson and New Zealand's Jesse Ryder but the form of Indian seamer Umesh Yadav and the presence of South Africa's Morne Morkel should compensate. All they need now is confidence and a bit of luck.
Chennai have as strong a batting squad, with Vijay and Michael Hussey's 139-run opening partnership against Kings XI Punjab an example of what they can do. Moreover, CSK bat deep, with MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja and Dwayne Bravo supporting the likes of Suresh Raina and Badrinath. And in Ravichandran Ashwin and Dirk Nannes, they have a match-winning spinner and seamer. If Albie Morkel can hit form, then expect CSK to become a very powerful side.
