Want to get up close and personal with an animal from London Zoo?

Here's your chance. Animal lovers can catch a glimpse of the zoo's animals every day this week from 2pm by following @zsllondonzoo which will feature live Periscope broadcasts.

Lemurs, meerkats and squirrel monkeys are all set to make an appearance.

David Field, Zoological Director at ZSL London Zoo said: "We're really excited to invite Twitter users to get closer to their favourite animals next week via Periscope, and highlight amazing facts about species that they may not have heard before. Using Periscope enables us to give animal lovers direct access to the Zoo animals in a really engaging way."
