Mr Robot season 2: Producer teases storyline; will network show first teaser at 2015 New York Comic Con?

Mr. Robot turned out to be the breakout show of 2015 gaining mass popularity and critical acclaim in its season 1 run. Fans of the show are now curious to know how the storyline plays out in season 2. The show's creator Sam Esmail and lead actor Rami Malek recently spoke about things to come.

Season 1 ended with fsociety taking down Evil Corp. The second season is bound to start with the aftermath of this action but Malek said he wants to take his time analysing the events that happened in the first season before making a prediction for season 2.

"I hate to think about those issues because I feel like everything that we do touch upon ends up being something that can cause massive damage to our societies, so I'd rather not anticipate the things that are going to happen," the actor told Entertainment Weekly. (via KpopStarz)

Meanwhile, talking about the show's future, showrunner Sam Esmail shed some light on what fans can expect from the show in season 2: "I wanted the story of Mr. Robot to be Elliot actually accomplishing his goal, setting the world into chaos. What would happen to society if something like this occurred where, basically, if the consumer debt industry were to be erased? What are the economics of that? What would the world look like? Would there be a revolution? Would governments take over? Would businesses take over?"

"To me, that canvas was something I was interested in exploring so, for me, that's what that last scene sets up. We're about to watch Rome burn. That's the world Elliot's going to enter next season," he said.

Esmail also teased in earlier interviews that he knows how his story unfolds as he initially planned Mr. Robot as a feature. "...I certainly know the big plot points ahead, and also know the series ending, if we're lucky enough to get that far," he told Variety.

Mr. Robot stars Rami Malek, Christian Slater and Portia Doubleday will be appearing at the 2015 New York Comic Con in a press panel on 9 October 2015. Maybe the fans will get more clarity on the season 2 storyline, maybe the network will release a teaser? That remains to be seen.
