10 injured in Tel Aviv bus bombing
As the eighth day of the Israel Gaza crisis continues a bus carrying passengers has been blown up in Tel Aviv by a terrorist bomb. Early reports say that ten people are injured with five of the wounded in a serious or moderate condition. although figures are likely to be higher.
Sources said the injured are being taken to Ichilov hospital and that roadblocks had been set up in the area to search for a suspected bomber. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's spokesman Ofir Gendelman said on his Twitter account that the explosion was caused by a bomb and that it was "terrorist attack."
Reports say celebratory gunfire rang out in Gaza City when local radio stations reported news of the Tel Aviv explosion and Hamas have now accepted responsibility for the attack. However as the heavy fighting continues on both sides a UN brokered ceasefire seems a way off yet.
