Is Amy Childs, ex-Towie star, dating singer Dane Bowers?

Former reality star Amy Childs was spotted getting very friendly with singer Dane Bowers at her cousin Harry Derbidge's 21<sup>st birthday party last week.

Both in attendance to the celebration, the pair were seen "dancing together and being very flirtatious". Throughout the night, Bowers was putting his arms around Childs' waist and whispering in her ear while they boogied the night away.

"It's obvious he's smitten," a source close to the pair told New! magazine. "Amy and Dane have known each other for years but they've grown close over the past the few weeks. He really likes her and keeps asking her to go out on a proper date with him."

"Amy likes him too and the chemistry is definitely there but he's 11 years older than her so she's thinking about it," the source concluded.

Alternatively, a representative of Bowers stated to Mirror Celebs that "Dane is a friend of the family and was there to celebrate Harry's 21st birthday. Amy and Dane have known each other for years and are just friends, there is no romance going on between them."

However, it does seem as if the 35-year-old has got Childs on the mind, even if it is strictly platonic.

Immediately after the party, Bowers took to Twitter saying "Good night with old friends and happy birthday to @MrHarryDerbidge (hard work trying to keep up with @MissAmyChilds though!)"

He then continued on to tweet later on: "Did I really have a dance off with @MissAmyChilds ?? Come on babes??? I've got moves!! Love you guys though."

Other famous faces that attended the party included The Only Way Is Essex's Gemma Collins, Big Brother's Rylan Clark and Johnny Robinson, the former X Factor contestant.

Meanwhile, Childs shocked fans when she revealed on Instagram that she had swapped her signature red locks for a brunette look. Could the TV personality be trying to alter her appearance to suit Bowers' tastes or is she simply wanting a change?
