Android 4.2.1 Based Baked BlackBean 7 ROM for HTC One S [Tutorial]
Newly released Baked BlackBean 7 ROM based on Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean) is available for HTC One S, courtesy XDA recognised developer known as klin1344.The ROM includes Powerwidgets, CyanogenMod's (CM) custom led control, lockscreen shortcuts, lockscreen widget app and CMFile Manager.
Users should keep in mind that the ROM is still under development and may contain bugs and issues. Those who wish to install this ROM can check the tutorial below.
Requirements:
- Enable USB debugging
- Ensure the bootloader is unlocked
- Make sure the device is rooted and has ClockworkMod (CWM) recovery installed
- Enable USB debugging
- Finally, make sure the device has a minimum of 80 percent battery charge

Google Apps
To install Android 4.2.1 BlackBean 7 ROM on HTC One S:
- Connect the device to the PC and copy the downloaded zip files to the SD card
- Disconnect the USB and turn the device off
- Boot the device into recovery mode (you can do so, by pressing and holding Volume Down and Power buttons and boot into HBoot menu)
- Perform a Nandroid backup of the existing ROM (to do so choose Backup and Restore and choose Backup again). On completing the backup, go to main recovery menu
- Perform data wipe (you can do so, by choosing Wipe Data/Factory Reset > Yes)
- Wait until the wiping completes and then go to CWM recovery main menu. Choose Wipe Cache Partition > Wipe Dalvik cache under Advance option
- Choose Install Zip from SD Card > Choose Zip from SD Card
- Locate the ROM file and select it by pressing the Power button. Confirm installation by tapping on Yes. The installation will begin
- Repeat the above step to install Google Apps
- Go to main recovery menu and choose Reboot System Now to reboot the device and boot into Android 4.2.1 ROM
Android 4.2.1 based BlackBean 7 is installed on your HTC One S.
