Android 4.4 KitKat Update Starts for Nexus 7 and Nexus 10
Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 with mobile data will get Android 4.4 update soon
As promised, Google has started rolling the official Android 4.4 KitKat update for its Nexus device.
During the official launch of Android 4.4 KitKat, Google mentioned that the latest Android update will be available on Nexus 4, Nexus 7, Nexus 10, Google Play Editions of Galaxy S4 and HTC One in the coming weeks. However, there was no official word on the particular date for the update roll-out.
Recently HTC insider, LlabToorFeR confirmed that Android 4.4 KiTKat update for the Google Play Edition of HTC One is almost completed and the HTC One with Sense is currently in the early stages of testing, indicating that the Android KitKat update roll-out is nearing.
Now the official Android Google+ account as well as Twitter account announced that the Nexus 7 Wi-Fi variants (2012 and 2013 models) will receive the update starting from 12 November. Unfortunately, Nexus 4 owners will have to wait for a while to receive the update. Google has noted that the Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 versions with mobile data will be getting the update soon, with no official words on the release date.

Meanwhile, a Nexus 7 user has confirmed the update, notes Android Police. According to the screenshots shared by the user, the KitKat with build version KRT160 and kernel version 3.4.0-gb0eacf3 is rolling out for Nexus 7.
