Google ran this ad all over the net as an April fool’s joke and it’s still available on YouTube today. The internet search giants claimed to be able to translate your pet’s callings. All of this in a handy Android app that allows you to be a little more ‘pet friendly’. Google apparently worked closesly with the world’s top language synthesis teams and “leaders in the field of animal cognitive linguistics, including senior fellows at the Bodleian Library in Oxford.”

There are other language search engines with Google Pirate and Google Hacker.

Should you decide to set your iGoogle page to the beach theme, then every night at 3.14am the Loch-Ness monster itself will appear for around 60 seconds. All other themes have 3.14am specials, for instance the City theme has UFOs, the Seasonal scape the Northern Lights and a monster in the spring theme.

Our first funny “Did you mean?” Google programmers thought that it would be funny if when you put the word ‘anagram’ into the search bar, it asks you if you meant the phrase ‘nag a ram’ as it’s an anagram of the word ‘anagram’. Get it?

Google are now offering free broadband, the latest in internet technology is connected for you deep underground after you flush one end down your toilet. This joke was never really funny and only really made the list because I assume at least one foolish person out there fell for it.
