Batman v Superman: Batman and The Joker's role in Suicide Squad and The Justice League teased
Some exciting new updates about Batman and The Joker's story arc in Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad have surfaced online.
Latino-Review's El Mayimbe has revealed how Ben Affleck's Batman plays into the Suicide Squad storyline, stating: "According to sources, in the film Batman is some sort of big boogeyman that the government REALLY hates. Prior to the events in Batman v Superman, The Joker is the only one to really ever meet him or know him."
Just a few days back, reports about The Joker's role revealed that he kills "one of Batman's sidekicks". So clearly, Batman v Superman would have established a very personal war between Batman and The Joker.
"...and that's why he's [Joker] so important to Amanda Waller," continues Mayimbe's spoiler. Amanda Waller is the key character who puts together the supervillain team - the Suicide Squad.
"They have footage of Batman in action which they watch. There is a bit of dialogue where they say Batman is the key to tracking down all "the supers.""- This would mean that Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and possibly other members of The Justice League will presumably become known to the public after Batman v Superman.
Whether or not Ben Affleck makes an appearance in Suicide Squad is still unknown.
Meanwhile, fans continue to wait for the first trailer of Batman v Superman. After all the speculations and rumours, the trailer remains unreleased. Now, there seem to be three key upcoming dates for Warner Bros to reveal the film's eagerly awaited trailer.
The first is 25 March - no solid reason except for the fact that it will be exactly a year before the film releases.
The second is alongside the Warner Bros' upcoming action movie - Mad Max: Fury Road which releases on 15 May.
The third is the most likely - the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con (9-12 July). WB and DC entertainment couldn't find a better platform to release the film's first theatrical trailer along with a Justice League teaser featuring all the superheroes suited up - like an introduction of sorts, maybe.
