The UK was hit by snow, rain and sleet on Boxing Day, leaving motorists stranded and airports closed.
Yorkshire was among the areas worst affected, with reports of many abandoned vehicles in Sheffield as travellers were forced to give up their journeys. A coach full of people spent the night in a church after their bus got stuck in the snow on a hill trying to leave the city.
Leeds Bradford International Airport in Yorkshire and Liverpool's John Lennon airport were closed for hours as runways were cleared.
The Met Office has issued yellow warnings alerting people to 'be aware' of further snow and ice for Scotland and warned of ice for parts of England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The freezing weather is set to continue until Wednesday (31 January) with frost, fog patches and strong winds affecting some areas in the UK.
