The British Soap Awards: The fashion winners and losers on TV's big night
While the soap stars proved they scrub up well, they also revealed a rather more daring side when it comes to make a style statement on the red carpet.
Hitting the red carpet for the annual British Soap Awards, all the stars from Weatherfield to Walford showed off an array of glamourous, bold and flesh- baring dresses as they gathered for their big night.
The UK's five biggest soaps - Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Doctors and Hollyoaks - battled it out in 12 different categories on the night, hosted by Philip Schofield.
Eastenders cleaned up winning eight awards and left the Coronation Street cast to commiserate as they returned home to the cobbles with just two awards.
There were also plenty of fashion winners and losers. Making an entrance at Manchester's Palace Theatre were Amy Walsh, Tisha Merry, Natalie Davies, Lucy Fallon, Fiona Wade, Mimi Keene, Kym Marsh and Jennifer Metcalfe.
While each rival star outdid the next, in the fashion stakes, some missed the mark spectacularly.
The British Soap Awards will be broadcast on Thursday 21 May, at 8pm on ITV.
