Chelsea and Manchester United both scored late goals to win their games in the Champions League last night, as Celtic pulled off one of their greatest results in recent years as they beat Barcelona 2-1.

A last minute goal from Victor Moses gave Chelsea a 3-2 victory against Shakhtar Donetsk they hardly deserved. The Blues were outplayed for much of the games as two goals from Willian cancelled out strikes by Fernando Torres and Oscar. But substitute Moses found the net to secure the three points, with boss Roberto Di Matteo saying the result was deserved.

"I think at the end when you get a win, we played against a good team, and I think we deserved to win because we did a lot of good things because we put them under pressure in the first half, and that's why we scored the two goals via pressure on them, so I think we deserved to win, ultimately."

Manchester United fought back from 1-0 down to defeat Braga 3-1 in Portugal. After an Alan penalty put Braga ahead at the start of the second half, goals from Robin Van Persie, Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez in the last 10 minutes saw United qualify as winners of their group.

But the result of the night was Celtic's triumph against Barcelona. The Bhoys were unlucky to lose 2-1 at the Nou Camp a forynight ago, but in front of their home fans managed to reverse the result with goals from Victor Wanyama and Tony Watt. Lionel Messi managed to grab a late goal for the Catalans, but it was not enough to prevent a victory for Celtic that will live long in the memory.
