Singer Chris Brown is reportedly still seeing Rihanna's father Reuters

Chris Brown and Rihanna's romance maybe a thing of the past, but according to reports, Brown is still spending time with the Run This Town singer's father.

According to urbanislandz.com, Chris Brown is not getting Rihanna's attention directly, so he is trying to catch her eye by getting close to her father Ronald Fenty.

The Loyal singer and Fenty were spotted together recently at a celebrity basketball game, and even posed for a few selfies together.

Sources told Urban Islandz that the two were reportedly having some deep discussions, possibly about Rihanna.

Last week Brown and Rihanna had what was described as an awkward encounter at a celebrity basketball game in New York City.

The two didn't interact during the game, and avoided any eye contact with each other. Sources close to the Bajan pop beauty told Urban Islandz that she has made it clear that she's not interested in another relationship with him.

Chris Brown pleads guilty in Washington assault case

Chris Brown pleaded guilty on Tuesday to punching a man in the face outside a Washington hotel in October last year. The assault happened while the singer was on probation for attacking his then-girlfriend Rihanna.

According to TMZ, Brown pleaded guilty to a misdemeanour assault and was sentenced to time served. He spent two days in a District of Columbia jail. During a court hearing in May, a Los Angeles judge sentenced Brown to serve an additional 131 days in jail. He was released in June this year.

Brown said: "I would like to say to the court that I'm sorry." He did not comment as he left court, swarmed by photographers and a handful of fans.
