Overview
Mumbai managed just six points from their three matches so far but they still have a chance of qualifying for the semi-finals, thanks to Rajasthan Royals' victory over Otago Volts on Tuesday. However, the Indians will need to defeat bottom-placed Scorchers by a huge margin in their final round-robin match today, to progress ahead of the Volts - who have 10 points - on net run-rate.
The Scorchers, on the other hand, have just two points so far and are already out of contention for a semi-final spot, with only pride to play for now. They can still look to end their campaign on a high and spoil Mumbai's hopes. Perth were the 2012-13 Big Bash runners-upand have a very experienced side, with the likes of Simon Katich and Brad Hogg in their ranks.
