Crystal Palace 0-1 West Ham United: Premier League as it happened
Hammers start the day in the relegation zone.
- Aaron Cresswell set to make his first appearance of the season having recovered from his knee injury.
- Alan Pardew without Scott Dann who is struggling with a hamstring injury.
- West Ham enduring their worst start to a season in 26 years.
Cresswell started his return game brilliantly but it has just come to an abrupt end. Moments after being booked for diving, he is penalised again for fouling Zaha as the Palace man breaks down the right flank. The referee consults his linesman and a second yellow is shown. West Ham will play the final 12 minutes with 10 men.
Terrific goal from West Ham! Payet and Cresswell exchange passes patiently down the left before suddenly stepping up the pace with the France international springing the returning full-back free down the wing. His delivery is excellent and so is Lanzini's run in the box, opening up his body to steer a fine finish past Mandanda.
Cresswell certainly doesn't look rusty despite his lengthy layoff. He has acres of space to run into down the left and is picked out by Noble. His first touch is good and allows him to drive into the box and with Zaza nowhere to be seen, has little alternative but to have a crack on goal. It's a powerful effort, but swerves wide of the post.
Team news: West Ham
The Hammers welcome back Aaron Cresswell this afternoon. The left-back has not played a game this season but is back in contention today, with Jonathan Calleri also fit once again. Gokhan Tore picked up a muscular injury during the international break, joining Andre Ayew and Arthur Masuaku on the sidelines.
Team news: Crystal Palace
Scott Dann is still not available having failed to recover in time from his hamstring injury but Alan Pardew is hopeful his centre-half with be ready in time for next week's trip to Leicester City. Apart from long-term absentees Pape Soare and Loic Remy, the Palace boss has no fresh injury concerns.
