Daytime Emmy Awards 2015 will take place on 26 April Daytime Emmy Awards

The 42nd annual Daytime Emmy Awards will air live from Warner Bros Studios in California on 26 April.

The award ceremony which will be hosted by America's Next Top Model host Tyra Banks, will start at 8pm EST on the POP TV Network.

Ahead of the awards ceremony, Banks revealed what to expect from this year's event.

"I want to spice it up a bit. The great thing is the TV Academy wants to spice it up as well. I just want to have fun. I have a history of liking to poke fun at myself, so that's what we're going to do. We're going to "fierce-ify" the Emmys," the 41-year-old told the Hollywood Reporter.

"One thing will be humor, but I don't want to make people uncomfortable, and I'm not a comedian. So if I'm going to poke fun at somebody, it's going to be because I am laughing with them, not at them," Banks added.

This year's Lifetime Achievement Award will go to the television icon Betty White.

Meanwhile, Regis Philbin, Craig Ferguson, Nancy O'Dell, Steve Harvey, Marie Osmond, Shemar Moore and Alex Trebek are confirmed as presenters at the event.
