Overview
Serbia sealed a place in the finals of the Davis Cup after defeating Canada 3-2 in the semi-finals, which was held at the Belgrade Arena in September this year. Djokovic won two of his three games for his side as the world no 2 registered victory over Vasek Pospisil and Milos Raonic in round one and round two respectively.
Janko Tipsarevic got the crucial point for Serbia as his three set victory over Vasek Pospisil in the final round saw Serbia seal a place in the Davis Cup final against the Czech Republic. Djokovic come into this tie after defeating world No 1 Rafael Nadal at the 2013 ATP World Tour Finals in straight sets 6-3, 6-4.
Meanwhile, Czech Republic sealed a place in this year's Davis Cup finals after defeating South American side Argentina in the penultimate round of the tournament at O2 Arena in Prague earlier in September.
Czech Republic registered a 3-2 victory over Argentina after winning the first three rounds in the semifinals in front of their home crowd. A victory for either side would see them being crowned as the winners of the 2013 Davis Cup.
