Donetsk bus shelling: 10 Ukraine civilians 'killed by rebel rockets'
At least ten Ukraine civilians have been killed after alleged rebel shelling hit a bus at a military checkpoint in Ukraine's eastern region of Donetsk.
The rocket shelling, which reportedly came from pro-Russian rebel forces, also left 13 people injured.
In a statement, Kiev's Donetsk regional administration said the separatists were responsible for the fire that hit the checkpoint near the town of Volnovakha in the Donetsk region.
The Twitter account of Euromaidan posted a picture of the bus after the attack:
The shelling occurred as one of the symbols of Ukrainian resistance from pro-Russian forces, the tower of Donetsk airport, has been totally destroyed after heavy shelling.
Russian separatists who control the area have issued an ultimatum to Ukrainian forces to leave the airport or they will destroy the facility new terminal with artillery fire.
