American actress Drew Barrymore is now a certified wine-grower. She has launched, on the occasion of her 37<sup>th birthday, her very own brand of wine.

"Wine is all about the journey, the discovery of new places and new varieties. I'm excited about sharing this Pinot Grigio with my friends and family and other wine lovers," Barrymore told The Drinks Business.

The actress has teamed up with California-based distributor Wilson Daniels to create a crisp, dry and fruity white Pinot Grigio made with grapes from northern Italy.

Incidentally, Barrymore is not the only celebrity to have launched her own brand of wine. Other celebrities who have gotten into making wines are musician Dave Matthews and rock group AC/DC.

Barrymore made her cinematic debut with a commercial, when she was barely 11 months old. Furthermore, in spite of having a turbulent childhood, she is now regarded as one of the top actresses in Hollywood. Indeed, she belongs to a family well-versed in the thespian tradition.

An interesting fact - Barrymore was engaged to be married to Leyland Hayward, at the age of 16! That, fortunately, never happened. Since then, she has, among other relationships, dated Jamie Walters and is now engaged to Will Kopelman.

Barrymore has also ventured in to other fields, like screen director, producer, model and screenwriter. She was also made an Ambassador for the United Nations, in their World Food Programme.

The "Charlie's Angel" has done scores of Hollywood movies like "Never Been Kissed", "E.T", " Mad Love", "Everyone Says I Love You", "Scream", "Donnie Darko", "Family Guy", "He's Just Not That Into You", "50 First Dates", " Curious George" and " Confessions of a Dangerous Mind".

Barrymore has received many awards, including those from the Screen Actors Guild Award and a Golden Globe for Best Actress in Television Film.
