England v Montenegro, World Cup Qualifier: Where to Watch Live, Preview and Team News
England take on Montenegro in Group H qualifier for the 2014 FIFA World Cup at Wembley on Friday evening.
Where to Watch Live
Kick-off is set for 8pm BST. Live coverage of the game will be available on ITV 1, UTV and ITV HD. Radio commentary of the game will be available on BBC Radio 5 Live.
Overview
England manager Roy Hodgson is aware that anything other than three points at Wembley will seriously jeopardise his chances of leading the country to Brazil next summer. The Three Lions are unbeaten in Group H fixtures and sit on top of the table with 16 points after eight games.
The hosts have drawn four while winning the remaining four fixtures and the previous encounter against Ukraine ended in a goalless draw. England lead Montenegro and Ukraine by a point and a victory over Branko Brnovic's side could see the Three Lions in the pole position for a place in the next summer's World Cup.
England's previous encounter against Montenegro saw the game end in a 1-1 draw with Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney giving the away side an early lead before it was cancelled out by Dejan Damjanovic.
Meanwhile, Montenegro come into this game after the previous fixture against Poland ended in a 1-1 draw. Damjanovic opened the scoring for Brnovic's side before the hosts equalising from Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski's strike.
Montenegro are third in Group H table and are level on points with second place Ukraine with goal difference separating the two sides. A victory over England at Wembley could improve their chances of making it Brazil next summer and failing to do so could have an impact on qualifying for the 2014 World Cup.
What Managers Say
Roy Hodgson: "There will be lots of good teams that don't get there but I am convinced that it won't be us. Within the camp we are convinced we are a good team, we are convinced that we are good enough to qualify and with two home games left we are convinced that we are going to do the job."
Branko Brnovic: "Now it is time for someone to win and I hope it will be us. We know England are strong. They are very high quality. England could make up three teams capable of competing for the World Cup. Maybe they will underestimate us, and I will be happy if they do."
