Glasgow 2014: Daniel Keatings Upstages Max Whitlock and Louis Smith to Win Pommel Horse Commonwealth Gold
Daniel Keatings produced a stunning routine to claim Scotland's first gymnastics Commonwealth gold medal in the men's pommel horse and deny England duo Max Whitlock and Louis Smith in Glasgow.
Keatings, who had already won silver in the team and all-around events and been edged out of the medals in the individual floor final, topped the podium with a score of 16.058.
England pair Whitlock – who was bidding to win a fourth gold of the Games after claiming the floor title earlier – and the returning Smith took silver and bronze while Dan Purvis and Wales' Clinton Purnell were out of the medals.
