Google unveiled its newest Nexus 7 tablet at Google I/O 2012. The unboxing video of the tablet has gone viral with tech fan Jean-Louis Nguyen creating a video titled "Montage: Unboxing the Nexus 7 is fun!".

"For many, the most satisfying part of trying a brand new gadget is unboxing it. The highly anticipated Nexus 7 is no exception: but the sturdy box and high-grade tape definitely make it playful - perhaps too challenging! Watching these videos on YouTube made me smile, so I decided to put them together; shake-n-bake included. Hope it makes you smile too," Nguyen posted on Google+.

The video includes clips originally from sites such as CNET, Phandroid, Los Angeles Times, PocketNow and Techno Buffalo. Google has declined to comment on the "packaging issues", claims The New York Times. However, according to site, the company points out a "more positive unboxing video". The video titled "Dr Paul unboxes the Nexus 7" features UFC Welterweight champion Georges St Pierre who tries to unbox his Nexus 7, while he is interrupted by Ninjas.

The Nexus 7 will be the first device to run the latest version of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. The tablet is priced at $199 (£128) for an 8GB model and $249 for a 16GB model. The low-priced tablets are unlikely to entice "potential iPad" buyers, but are expected to expand the tablet market share, which means targeting buyers who would otherwise have not considered buying a tablet.

The Nexus 7 comes with a 7in LED back-lit IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. It is powered by the Nvidia Tegra 3 chipset with a 1.3GHz quad-core processor. The device features Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and Near Field Communication (Android Beam). It packs 4325mAh Li-Ion battery and is expected to offer up to eight hours of active use.

Asus has told IBTimes UK that Google Nexus 7 will go on sale on the UK High Street on 27 July. Online orders have started shipping from 13 July.
