Heidi Klum And Seal Confim Split: Celebrity Marriages that Fail

Hollywood sweethearts Heidi Klum and Seal have confirmed they have separated after seven years of marriage.

The power couple released a joint statement saying that even though they continue to love each other they had grown apart.

German-born model Klum, 38, and Kiss From A Rose hitmaker Seal, 48, who got married in Mexico in 2005 after a whirlwind romance, have four children - Leni, seven, Henry, six, Johan, five, and two-year-old Lou.

Reports of a split surfaced after Klum showed up at the 2012 Golden Globes without her husband.

In their joint message they said: "While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate.

"We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart.

"This is an amicable process and protecting the wellbeing of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition," they added.

Klum is expected to file divorce papers at Los Angeles' county superior court citing "irreconcilable differences".

Despite outlasting some of the most famous celebrity couples, the duo, famed for their public displays of affection, have fallen victim to the Tinseltown marriage curse.
