An Heiress is Born: Tamara Ecclestone Welcomes Baby Sophia

Tamara Ecclestone has become a first-time mother after giving birth to a baby girl.

The 29-year-old socialite, who is the daughter of Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone, and her husband Jay Rutland welcomed their daughter Sophia into the world on 17 March.

She introduced the latest addition to their family by posting a touching image on Instagram.

In the glamorous snap, the brunette beauty is seen with her daughter resting on her bare chest. She is positively glowing with freshly blow-dried locks, lashings of mascara and rose-tinted lips.

"Welcome to the world Sophia, our beautiful baby girl, born yesterday 6lb 9oz. Proudest day of our lives, never felt love like this," the caption read.

She then went on to upload another image of herself, Rutland and Sophia along with the message: "Three Musketeers forever. Love my little family."

Within minutes the former model was inundated with congratulatory messages.

"Congratulations T! You look like angels on this earth. Sending so much love to you all!! X" one fan said.

Another wrote: "I don't know about you, but I look JUST like Tamara Ecclestone in this natural motherly photo."

Ecclestone married Rutland, a former Pacific Continental senior broker, in a lavish wedding on the French Riveria in 2013.
