The official synopsis reads, "Carrie improvises to salvage her mission. The CIA closes in on a leak."
Season 4 has dealt with Haqqani and the capture of Saul, and the two sides are about to execute a prisoner exchange. The new episode this Sunday will feature a surprise twist.
A report in Tvline suggested that, this Sunday's episode is ranked among the Top 5 best Homeland episodes ever.
The report stated: "Much of the focus is on the prisoner swap — Saul in exchange for those half-dozen terrorists — and Carrie's familiar feeling that something is amiss. I'm not going to tell you if her suspicions turn out to be correct, but I will tell you to make sure the edge of the seat is comfortable, because you'll be fused to it during much of the hour."
Executive Editor Adam Bryant in an interview with TV Guide earlier this week said, "The episode's key set piece involves a long, nerve-wracking prisoner exchange that goes awry almost from the start — and it's an angry Saul who starts the trouble!
"Amidst Saul's (understandable) tantrum and the threat that either side could open fire at any moment, Carrie will have to be at her best to once again talk her mentor off the ledge. But, naturally, it's only after you get a moment to breathe that the show hits you with the episode's real doozy," he said.
