HTC unveiled its HTC Desire 600 smartphone on 23 May in Taiwan. The dual-sim phone is the first to enter the mid-range market with the latest Sense 5 technology which until now was seen only in HTC's high-end smartphones such as HTC One.

The new model runs on the latest Android Jelly Bean operating system and features the company's new BlinkFeed user interface.

The device is supposed to go on sale in Ukraine, the Middle East and Asia from early June. Although the price of the device was undercover, it has now been spotted online on pre-orders in Russia for £340 ($509 approx.)

"The HTC Desire 600 dual sim combines speed and easy multitasking with the truly innovative HTC BlinkFeed home screen. The result is an affordable mid-range phone that sets the standard for its class, keeping the busiest user up-to-date at a glance and offering them the power and range of features to switch between work and play." said Peter Chou, CEO of HTC Corporation, in the device's press release.

The smartphone offers a super 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU for high speed multi-tasking, intense gaming and faster web browsing along with 1 GB RAM. Desire 600 supports 8 GB of internal storage and runs on "dual-active" system in which the phone operates on both the sim cards simultaneously.

The smartphone carries a 4.5 inch super LCD2 display screen supported by HTC BlinkFeed. It carries a 960 x 540 screen resolution. In addition, it sports an eight megapixel rear and 1.6 megapixel front camera.The Beats Audio technology integration in the device gives great music experience to the user.
