HTC Sensation 4G on T-Mobile Will Receive Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) Update on 16 May.
T-Mobile is set to deliver Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) to HTC Sensation 4G on 16 May. The carrier has also updated the support documents for HTC Amaze 4G which suggests that it will receive the Android 4.0 upgrade in the coming weeks.
With the latest Android 4.0 ICS update, HTC owners will be able to enjoy resizable widgets, face unlock, data usage controls, home screen folders, lock screen actions which include pull down notifications as well as adjust volume even while device is locked, improved battery life and system bar improvements enabling one to view recent apps, according to T-Mobile.
The site suggests thatafter completion of the update, the smartphone will need to add Wi-Fi hotspot feature to avail of the service.
Other improvements include improved text-input and spell-check and enhanced menu structure.
The pre-conditions suggest the smartphone should have a battery life of more than 50 per cent and data or Wi-Fi connection.
The HTC Sensation 4G comes with an S-LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. It packs HTC Sense UI. The device is powered by a 1.2GHz Scorpion dual-core CPU and Qualcomm MSM8260 Snapdragon chipset. It includes Li-Ion 1520mAh standard battery which allows for standby time of up to 400 hours on 2G and 350 hours on 3G networks. It allows talk time of up to six hours 40 minutes on 2G and eight hours 20 minutes on 3G networks. The cloud-based, HTC Watch will let users to stream movies and videos.
The HTC Amaze G flaunts an S-LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. It is powered by a 1.5GHz Scorpion dual-core processor and Adreno 220 GPU. Most excitingly, it has an advanced camera which features SmartShot, BurstShot, SweepShot, ClearShot and Perfect Pics. The device includes an Instant On button which will allow the users to capture photos and shoot videos as well.
