Thomas Meagher spoke out of his heartbreak after the discovery of the body of his wife, Irish woman Jillian Meagher, was found in a shallow grave in the Australian state of Victoria.

Meagher, who was originally from Drogheda, was on a work night out with colleagues from the Duchess boutique shop, seen here, when she disappeared in the early hours on Saturday. Flowers and tributes have been laid outside shop and in the surrounding streets.

Jillian's body, seen here, was found Gisborne South, 30 miles North West of Melbourne.

Following a massive investigation police arrested Adrian Ernest Bayley, who attended court today, where he was formally charged with the rape and murder of Meagher. Bayley faces a committal hearing on January 18, 2013.
