'I was selling porn magazines': Robert Pattinson reveals the reason why he was expelled from school
'I'd sell them for a lot of money,' he said.
Robert Pattinson was a troublemaker during his teenage years. He has opened up about an incident that reveals a mischief he was involved in during his school days.
It is hard to imagine the Twilight star as a bad boy during his teenage years with his innocent looks, but he did get expelled for his ways from an elite London school.
Speaking on the Howard Stern's Sirius XM, the fiancé of singer FKA Twigs disclosed that he was kicked out from an exclusive school in Barnes, south west London for stealing porn magazines and selling them to his classmates.
"I was stealing porno magazines and selling them at school. No one knew at all what to do with them, though ... I'd sell them for a lot of money," he said.
"I used to go in (the store) and take, like, one or two, and then put them in my bag. I was in my school uniform when I was doing it, and it was kind of risky. At the end, I got so cocky that I would take the entire rack."
Pattinson, 31, said he was ultimately caught by the storekeeper because of his cockiness.
"I remember the guy who worked in the store shouting, like, 'Hey!' and then my two friends ran off, and I turned around, like, 'What?' I walked back up to him. I hadn't zipped up my bag."
"This guy is pulling out all these porno magazines - and it was when porn used to have, like, VHS tapes in the plastic sheet with it - and he's pulling all these things out, and I was sitting there humiliated with all the old people looking at me disgusted."
Pattinson said he begged the storekeeper not to call the police and call his parents instead. "I was trying to make up a lie of where I lived ... I was terrible."
Pattinson was expelled from the school a few days after the incident, with his friends snitching on him.
