I'm A Celebrity 2015: Lady C leaves the jungle early 'on medical grounds'
I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!'s most controversial campmate Lady Colin Campbell has officially left the jungle 'due to medical grounds' just days before the final. The news broke after Lady C was spotted at the Versace Hotel on Australia's Gold Coast, where the evicted celebrities and their close family members stay during the series' run.
According to The Mirror, a source close to the socialite claimed that there was 'a lot more to tell' about Lady C quitting the show early, but chose not to elaborate any further. Her son Dima took to Twitter to tell the public that his mother is 'fine', writing: "I'm very sad to announce that, yes my mum @LadyColinCampb is out. She is fine. Dima x"
Many I'm A Celeb followers shared their opinions about Lady C's leaving, with some people admitting that they are glad that she is out. One Twitter user wrote: "Just heard the news... Lady C has left the jungle.... Hallelujah," whilst another tweeted: "Best news I've had in years when waking up in the morning lady C has left the jungle #cantwait."
Many were disappointed that the entertainment value of the show would go down after her leaving, with one user stating: "As if Lady C has left... she made it funny," and another saying: "Lady C QUIT!! Meh no entertainment anymore."
The celebrities began being voted out of the jungle on Friday 27 November, with fashion journalist Susannah Constantine being the first to go. She was followed by former X Factor choreographer Brian Friedman. Most Haunted's Yvette Fielding then left the competition in 10th place, and former professional boxer Chris Eubank was voted out in Wednesday night's show.
Spandau Ballet's Tony Hadley, footballer Kieron Dyer, Union J's George Shelley, former Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter, Dragon's Den businessman Duncan Bannatyne and reality stars Vicky Pattison and Ferne McCann remain in the running to become 2015's King or Queen of the jungle in the next few days. According to William Hill, Pattison is the current favourite to win, followed by Shelley and McCann.
The ongoing reality series will continue on Wednesday night (2 December) at 8:30pm on ITV, where viewers are likely to see the events surrounding Lady C leaving camp play out. The eviction has been cancelled in light of Lady C's early departure, but those who have already voted can apply for a full refund from broadcasters ITV.
