iOS 7.1 Untethered Jailbreak Imminent: Winocm Demonstrates Jailbroken iPhone 4 in YouTube Video
Renowned iOS hacker and prospective Apple employee, winocm, has once again showcased his skills with the video demonstration of untethered jailbreak for iOS 7.1, which is reportedly running on a Verizon iPhone 4.
According to iDownloadBlog, winocm has shared a link to the video with the caption 'iOS 7.1 untethered boot' that clearly signals the existence of an untethered jailbreak exploit for iOS 7.1.
This could further fuel hopes of unearthing an untethered jailbreak for A5 and A6 devices running on the latest iOS firmware, as iH8sn0w sounds positive about the impending outcome in his latest Twitter response to winocm's post.
The YouTube video narration from winocm that barely lasts for two minutes reveals the iOS 7.1 jailbreak running on the older A4 device (tipped to be a Verizon iPhone 4). The entire demo begins with bootup process and ends with the operation of key iOS features including the dialer, Safari and other inbuilt apps.
If you are a sceptic, check out winocm's demo video below:
As winocm notes, the video is not yet meant for development of public release of iOS 7.1 jailbreak and hence does not show Cydia functionality with the jailbreak installed.
With pod2g confirming a few days ago that evad3rs are unlikely to invest development work on the highly-anticipated iOS 7.1 jailbreak, winocm's progress with the untethered jailbreak should be taken with a pinch of salt.
Besides, evad3rs are suggesting that they are likely to preserve the available exploits as well as development efforts for the forthcoming iOS 8 update from Apple.
