iOS 6.1.3 Untethered Jailbreak: Jailbroken iPhone 4S Running iOS 6.1.3 with Cydia Revealed [VIDEO]
iOS 6.1.3 untethered jailbreak has reportedly been tested on iPhone 4S
The recent turn of events in the jailbreak scene has once again spurred hopes and excitement of an untethered jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3 in the making. Just a few days ago, iOS hacker winocm confirmed access to the highly-anticipated iOS 6.1.3 untethered jailbreak via binary in his Twitter update.
The hacker also hinted that there was some more work to be done. However, the latest report on winocm's work at iDownloadBlog (iDB) reveals a video that depicts iPhone 4S running iOS 6.1.3 with Cydia installed.
The report further suggests that winocm had reached out to iDB about his progress on the jailbreak. Though the upcoming untethered jailbreak is still under development, Jeff Benjamin at iDB acknowledges that he was able to run Cydia on his iPhone 4S running iOS 6.1.3 and could certainly confirm its legitimacy.
iDownloadBlog further notes that the process technicalities involved to achieve a working Cydia on iPhone 4S are not revealed, owing to the hacker's request. However, it is ascertained that winocm has successfully demonstrated the capability of running themes, tweaks and jailbreak apps on iPhone 4S with iOS 6.1.3 via Cydia.
Despite the progress achieved by winocm, the public release of the untethered jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3/6.1.4 may or may not materialise, as several veteran hackers have hinted at protecting the existing exploits for the upcoming iOS release, the iOS 7. However, some recent reports suggest that a dual untethered jailbreak for iOS 7 and iOS 6.1.3 is in the works, which cannot be ruled out.
