Iran nuclear talks: Framework deal 'agreed' say Powers
Iran's nuclear ambitions shall be checked under the terms of a deal between the country and six other nations, it has been announced.
Lengthy talks between Iran and nations including the United States and from Europe have resulted in a framework deal to limit its "enrichment capacity and stockpile" capacity.
The agreement was described by EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini as a "decisive step," after eight days of talks in Laussane, Switzerland, during which deadlines lapsed.
Iranian foreign minister Javad Zarif wrote in a tweet prior to the conference: "Found solutions, ready to start drafting immediately."
Progress in talks about Iran's nuclear ambitions have been slow.
The U.S and its allies want Iran to step back from developing technology that could be used for a nuclear bomb. Iran is keen to see an end to sanctions that have hobbled the economy.
